my main addictions are Alexander Skarsgård,Tom Hiddleston, Marvel stuff and Supernatural :) and some otther stuff.
Alexander Skarsgård and Ivan Castro from Team Noom Coach. After their first full day as a united Virgin Money South Pole Allied Challenge team, spirits were lifted as the pressure was eased and people were able to support each other through the last leg of their expedition together.
The teams set up camp around 63 km from the South Pole last night after skiing for 17km in the day. The Virgin Money South Pole Allied Challenge teams look set to reach the Geographical South Pole by the end of the week.

Skarsgard details on trek to the South Pole for WWTW
hell, he even sounds cold…this is getting a little scary ..
Thank you for the audio!!
Yes,He sounds like his throat is raw and inflamed from a combination of the cold air and thin air. He sounds very weary too. His voice was strong sounding though not weak so I think he is experiencing the natural effects of skiing for prolonged periods of time in such conditions. Uncomfortable ,to be sure, but nothing for us to worry about, yet. I really think their safety is paramount and they are in good hands. I will be happy when they have arrived at the pole, their goal accomplished, looking forward to returning to their homes and loved ones for the holiday. The Antarctic truly is ” the most hostile environment on earth” and they all deserve huge accolades for attempting it at all.
I was and still am a nervous wreck for Alex and everyone involved in this endeavor. I was nervous when it was first announced that they would be doing this. I will be nervous until everyone gets home safe and sound. I am proud of every one of them for doing this, though, especially the soldiers. Once you accomplish your goal of reaching the South Pole, though, GET THE HELL HOME! We miss all of you, and we want you all back ASAP. Walking with the Wounded is a worthwhile charity, and hopefully the goodwill continues once everyone gets back home. Safely. And SOON.
I’m ‘relieved’ to see I’m not the only one being at total stress during this WWTW race, and checking everyday, if not several times a day, where they are, if we have some news, are they safe, my God they must be fuckin’ freezing ….
I wouldn’t have said better than you did sookieandericbaitandswitch, I keep waiting for Dec. 17th to come quickly because I just want Alex to be back home (Los Feliz, or Stockholm, with his family, for the holidays)., I want this adventure to be over and behind them.
Alex can be really proud of himself, for being involved in such an awesome project, but also because as a man, he will have had the opportunity to really push his limits, and that’s a hell of a personal challenge.
So here I am, counting day after day … and pretending living a ‘normal’ life when around my boyfriend :p
